Pecometh Story:
How Paige Littman Found the Magic of Pecometh
Paige Littman was a bit of a celebrity among the 2024 summer staff. She attended a full five weeks of overnight camp, leapfrogging between our Senior High, Counselor-in-Training, LEAD, and Late Night with Jesus programs. The kicker? Paige doesn’t even live close to Pecometh. She lives over three hours away down in Virginia.
Paige got involved with Camp Pecometh through her mother, who attended camp as a child. She started with Mini Camp and has worked her way all the way up to our senior high offerings. By her own estimation, she has tried almost every camp that Pecometh offers.

Having tried so many programs, Paige has her favorite activities. Zipline, Giant Swing, and Music Time all made her list. But, more than that, Paige appreciates the small moments at camp–those times between activities when campers can bond with one another on their own terms. She described her love of card games, and camaraderie that forms over a quick game with cabinmates. She described how she loves seeing the same friends week after week and year after year. Paige knows that the magic of camp is in the friendships and small moments, not just the fun activities.
These small moments have had a huge impact on Paige. She recalls: “My leadership skills have improved. I’ve improved mentally and physically. It is a great environment to be in.” The small moments have also helped her spend five weeks at camp, away from her family and home. “I was kind of nervous, but I think I’ve grown as a person and it has been an amazing experience. Good food, good activities, good people.” Paige knows she will be back at camp in the future to keep enjoying those small moments, and she knows she will continue to grow as a person as she does.
