Bring Your Classroom to the Chester River

Hands-on outdoor learning experiences for school groups of all sizes, set on a scenic riverside campus with 80 years of trusted hospitality.

School Trips at Pecometh

Not Every Lesson Belongs in a Classroom

At Pecometh Camp and Retreat Ministries, students trade desks for trails, textbooks for paddles, and classroom walls for wide-open riverside views. Whether you are planning a single-day field trip or a multi-day outdoor education experience, Pecometh provides the space, the activities, and the support to make it happen.

Experiences

What Your Students Will Do

Every activity is facilitated by trained staff on our riverside campus. Choose individual activities or combine them into a full-day or multi-day program.

Nature and Science

  • Kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding on the Chester River
  • Guided canoe trips with environmental interpretation
  • Hiking on scenic riverside trails
  • Fishing (bring your own equipment)

Students explore local ecosystems, waterway stewardship, and the natural world firsthand.

Adventure and Recreation

  • Zipline
  • Archery
  • Swimming pool (seasonal)
  • Wagon rides
  • Volleyball, basketball, and soccer

Activities that get students moving, engaged, and out of their comfort zones.

Teamwork and Leadership

  • Challenge course
  • Climbing wall
  • Facilitated camp games

These group experiences build communication, trust, and problem-solving skills in ways a classroom exercise cannot replicate.
