If you're a high school student looking to build your leadership skills or dreaming of becoming part of Pecometh's summer camp staff, the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is your perfect next step! Designed for our oldest campers, this two-session program equips you with the tools, training, and hands-on experience you need to lead both on and off camp.
What to Expect in the CIT Program
In the first session, CITs will dive into a packed, engaging training schedule. From mastering Christian leadership and followership to learning behavioral management and observing camp activities, you’ll be fully immersed in what it takes to be a leader. After successfully completing this intensive training, you'll be invited back for a second session, where you get to choose your week to return!
Hands-On Experience with Mentorship
During the second session, you'll be paired with experienced mentors and placed in real-world camp settings. You’ll live in camper cabins, participate in duty rotations, and take on different roles throughout the camp. This experience is almost like being a full-fledged staff member, helping you discover your unique leadership style while making a positive impact on campers’ lives.
