A Camp Experience Like No Other
Join us at Camp Pecometh for a Summer Respite designed specifically for adults aged 16 and older with intellectual disabilities! Immerse yourself in the joy of summer camp, filled with swimming, arts and crafts, canoeing, music, and a fun-filled talent show. Our compassionate counselors ensure a supportive environment with a camper-to-counselor ratio of 3:1, providing personalized care and attention for everyone.
Essential Requirements for Respite Campers
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, campers must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Fully toilet trained.
- Able to dress and undress independently.
- Capable of feeding themselves.
- Can manage personal hygiene needs with minimal assistance (showering, brushing teeth, shaving, hair care, etc.).
- Able to move around without the use of crutches, walkers, or wheelchairs.
- Comfortable being away from home.
- Willing to follow simple directions.
- Capable of living and functioning in a group setting (1:3 care ratio).
- Able to refrain from harming themselves or others.
- Willing to wear a mask over their nose and mouth when required.
Important Considerations
